GOV OKOWA AND HIS PARTY SCARED OF DEFEAT, AS PRESIDENT BUHARI STORMS DELTA FOR OGBORU!!

PETER EKAVWO ESQ., LAWYER/ANALYST SPEAKS:

There is obvious fear by Governor Okowa of imminent defeat by Chief Great Ogboru at the forthcoming Governorship polls. This would account for the series of "money sharing" by his aides

in different locations in the name of 'empowerment'. His fear is further worsened and more palpable, owing to the solid support the Great Ogboru-the masses bride, enjoys from the presidency and which is again about to be made clearer by the President's visit to the State come January 16, 2019 in solidarity with the Ogboru cause.

The question that can be asked at this point is: Should Okowa not really be scared of defeat? The question is a big YES!! He should for obvious reasons:

1. The Only impetus which he carries about is "It is turn by turn". Deltans have refused to buy into this lame argument. Only politicians of his party believes in this lame argument, which does not translate to good life for Deltans, but which ONLY serves the interest of the cabals to continue to rotate themselves and cronies in power, while Delta remains in a sorry state. Deltans simply want a change of government from the current cabals that have held the State hostage from attaining steady and progressive growth and development.

2. The only mode of winning elections which Gov Okowa knows and which they have used to subvert the wishes of the masses is election fraud and rigging. This was made possible as they were in affinity with the powers at the center. It was thus easy to use federal might to foist a civilian coup on the masses. BUT NOW. HOW MARKET? the table has turned. Rigging is a no-go-area!!

3. Will the unemployed youths of Delta come and re-elect Governor Okowa? Will the pensioners and their  families who retire from the State and do not get their pensions even after 5 years vote for him? Or the youths whom he sacked upon assumption of Office? OGBORU is obviously MORE POPULAR than Okowa with the market women, Okada riders, Keke riders, Students etc.

4. His performance in office do not inspire any excitement either and all attempts to hoodwink the presidency to dump Ogboru has failed woefully. Imminent defeat awaits him!!

To confirm his fears, Gov. Okowa at his campaign has been telling the Youths: "Defend your votes". And I could only laugh!!! Has Gov. Okowa and his party men ever used that slogan  in the time past?

As President Buhari comes to Warri in solidarity with Ogboru and to campaign, This platform wishes him a safe trip, Wishes Great Ogboru the much-awaited success and wish fellow Deltans a new air of governance anchored on standard infrastructural projects, demolition of the cabals and a good life for all Deltans!!
